SC foundation joined with sl st. |
Today an effective tip to crochet a foundation whateverthestitch in round.
Deja Jetmir from Crochet ever after is the clever Earth being that helps you to create a new stitch when you join your foundation row to crochet in the round so that there is no need to close the initial gap with a tapestry needle when the project is finished.
I’ve been playing around to try the tip and these are the results:
SC foundation worked in spiral |
HDC foundation joined with sl st |
HDC foundation worked in spiral |
DC foundation huge gap when worked in spiral (meow!) |
It works pretty well when you join the rounds with a sl st but if you try to work in a continuous way, it only works for a SC foundation, even a HDC foundation (if you compensate the step created at the end of your proyect by crocheting sc and sl st in the last 4 sts) but not for a DC foundation as you create a huge gap between rows.
Come on, don’t be shy, try it yourself and tell me what you think.
That’s all for today which is no small thing.
Catch you next Friday!
