Merry Christmas Earth Beings

Image borrowed from www.crazywebsite.com

Yes, I know I wished you the very same thing in my last post but I like to insist on sending good wishes to everybody, keeps your karma balanced.

Mine is a little bit on the dark side at the moment. Why? (you would like to ask) Because these days I’m in panic mode trying to cope with everything at the same time plus the extra Xmas issue.

How to decrease stitches using two circular needles

You’re knitting a hat with your circular needles, begin decreasing for the crown part and reach that point in which you can not go any further without a set of DPNs. That’s an old story. Now you can decrease with just two circular needles.

You can learn how to knit with two circulars here and here.

Temple of the Forest- Autumn/Winter 13/14

Thanks to my friend Nadia. Perfect model!

The name of this set has been kindly suggested by Little Romulan, master in inventing new words. I’m sorry, they are Spanish “words” so there is no translation for them in English. But, trust me, someday his dictionary will be a bestseller.

So today’s set consists of a lace beret and scarf with a diamond motif crocheted in an interesting curled yarn in cream and green shades.

3D Printed Knitting/Crocheting Tools

Knitting looms, stitch markers, yarn bobins, needles...

Sometimes having a geek Mc Husband is good.

His last project is related to 3D printers sooo, I saw an opportunity there and began to make my own reserch...et voilá! There are public files to print knitting and crocheting tools: knitting needles, crochet hooks, knitting looms, stitch markers, yarn bobbins...

For Clon’s sake, this is Paradise!  And 3D printing, my dearest grasshoppers, is the future.

Mad About Stripes ll- Autumn/Winter 13/14

I’m obsessed with the stripes, I know. But, you know, my yarns tell me what they want to be and these were calling for stripes too.

This is a greyish blue- ecru two-tone set knitted in a luxury blend of merino wool and silk. I’ve attached a tassel to the hat instead of the typical pompom for a change. The scarf is an infinite one (yet again).

Zillions of Pompoms

Ah, pompom
how glorious you are
I succumb to your roundness
have not you is such a badness
I adore you, how bizarre!

I’ve not gone mental. I received five diabolical machines to make pom-poms as a birthday present. And I say “diabolical” because now there are pompoms everywhere around the house.  Big, small, any color, I love them.

Mad About The Stripes l- Autumn/Winter 13/14

Hah, I've told you! I love stripes and their infinite possibilities.

The green is greener. This set has been knitted with angora yarn (very, very warm) and the infinite scarf is reversible: light green as the main colour on one side, dark green on the other.
